That's an interesting wrinkle to Doc B's business model... I am an owner/builder of several Bottlehead products, and I like 'em as inexpensive, high value, fun to build kits... but I am always amused by the tweak-and-tweak a cheap product into an expensive one. It reminds me of the approach lampooned in the old folk tale variously known as "Stone Soup" or "Nail Broth".

If it's a good circuit design, why not?

I've been away for a few weeks - went to Germany to pick up my new car (BMW Euro Delivery). Spent 10 days driving around (Munich -> Salzburg -> Vienna -> Berlin -> The Hague -> Munster -> Munich). She's currently on a ship somewhere in the Atlantic heading home .. pic below is at Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. Needless to say, my audio purchases will be limited now that I have a nice fat car payment again ;)

The user did not have a coupling plug, so he hand wired each section of the TRS plug together.

EDIT: removed questionable attempt at humor.

Here's a picture of something instead.

The old Shaker cemetery near my house...

One of the two old Shaker dormitory buildings. This one is just around the corner from us... the ruins of its stone barn are visible in the background of this very wide angle photo (10 mm lens on a "DX" format DSLR).
