Hey, if there weren't mountains in AZ, there'd be no desert. I learned that while my cousin was living out there - the way deserts form is basically because the heat can't escape the mountains, and keeps falling back in.

Ther'es some beautiful mountain areas in Arizona. Up where Sedona is is a GREAT area.
