Sweet. The color is awesome. Reminds me of my kitchen where I were a younger man. Stove, fridge, counters...
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks
Ben
I wonder-will the old bell ringer style phones even work if you have Verizon FiOS? When they install the fiber, they remove your copper lines. This removed the AC that would have been provided by the telco for the ringer--Or does the local equipment now provide the AC power??
Note the removal of the copper, also prevents you from going back to DSL, even if via a competitor-Something to keep in mind.
Even newer non-"bell ringer" style phones expect a certain higher voltage and only ring when they sense it.
When you get FiOS installed t hey install a whole panel in teh basement that provides essentially backwards compatibility for phones.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
The old "pulse" dialers do require copper lines and the line voltage to work. Our house has traditional copper lines, so we're good to go.
This phone (Western Electric 554, made in 1967) is actually a 50's-60's era phone, though they were made into the late seventies. The push button phones are more 70's correct, but lets face it, must of our parents couldn't afford to have the latest phones available back then--so many people had the rotary phones well into the late 70's. I wanted something that looked a little more vintage, and I wanted the obnoxious double-bell ringer.

Yeah all digital phone services have some sort of analog phone ports.
And if they cut your drop so you cant downgrade back to DSL so what, in all reality it takes about 30 mins to put a new drop into the pedestal. I am guessing they simply disconnect the NID on the TELCO side though.
I actually thought nobody 'owned' their phones back then, but that they were rented from Bell ad that Bell had a monopoly on them. At least that's what I recall. I hated using rotary dialers, esp if you messed up mid dial.
Oh and to put the thread back on track:
I'm feeling kinda hungry now.

Mike, I am going to work for a Garbage Collection Driver in your area. Just make sure you put that LCR parts bin in the trash!
....is that STUFF for a pair or a threesome??? Gives you an IDEA what goes into the design and build of a quality set of speakers.
