Replica. If you look close at the top of the windshield, you can see the Superformance decal. They are a fiberglass bodied and floor car with a square tube frame, made in South Africa and shipped to the US where the dealer installs your engine and tranny choice.

Over about 3 years, I built a Fatory Five Racing 427 Cobra replica. It uses a powder-coated 4" round tube space-frame chassis and 50 aluminum panels that get bonded and riveted to the frame making up the engine bay, floor, trunk, dash, fender wells and cockpit. It has a fiberglass body replacing the the original's aluminum skin. If you choose the aluminum body option, expect to pay about $50k more.

    I posted a pic here: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/show...40719&page=116

The entire build is on my website: http://www.worldisround.com/articles/123897/index.html

A Ferrari available locally, but not in my price range; a very unique model with a mid-mounted, flat 12 engine.

I'd be more afraid of maintenance/repair costs than the cost of the vehicle itself.

One of my other passions, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, Greenlight diecast.

This is a custom, built by my buddy in TX, a 1968 Cutlass 442 from Johnny L., he grafted a HWs Nomad roof on, scratchbuilt a tailgate, interior unknown. Nascar black steelies with Firestone real rubber tires. Olds never made a 2-door wagon. I love wagons, it's in my stash now .
