OHHhhh man that makes me want to snowboard asap... Summer is great but winter is so much better now that I have snowboarding.
Some more shots of the HSBC Celebration of Light down in Vancouver but for China (saturday's show). We got front row seats again.
And the crowd half an hour after the fireworks ended. Keep in mind this is a main street that would usually have masses of traffic on a regular day at any given time. Bad photo because it was hand held for 1/8 of a second above my head.

Michael, you should post the full size images of those..........they look awesome.
I usually keep them down on size so I don't rape peoples' bandwidth since the original files are around 5 to 6mb each. If you want something in particular I can send it to you. Until then feel free to check out slightly larger versions on my flickr site. Just go all sizes and then onto original. They're still heavily resized but slightly larger than the thumbnails I've posted here.
The street is Esplanade and when the sun sets it's common for people to stop like that and chill for a minute.Originally Posted by Frank Z

What's with the Polk car audio forum? It doesn't want new posts.

Can you say "need a tripod?" Have since bought a tripod.

An ugly old cactus in the hall (that my wife wanted to throw away). It's redeemed itself.

Where exactly is that? Other than maybe over by the cannery I can't think of where that is...Originally Posted by Greg Peters

That's taken from the float facing west, just below "The Charthouse".

That's what I thought... there are usually a lot more boats in there though![]()

Actually, it's an "orchid cactus". There isn't anything to scale the size of the bloom to in the photo, but that sucker was as big as a large navel orange.Originally Posted by steveinaz

My bad, it's got the long green sections. Bloom looks very similar to a Christmas catus though.

Last night we had an electrical storm like nothing I've ever seen. It lasted for atleast 5 hours and put on a lightening show that was simply jaw dropping. I fumbled around with the camera and got a few pics.
