Good Lord....when is Polk going to add a scratch n sniff feature ? Talk about rakeing in membership.
This freaky warm weather drew me to the garage and out of the Polk man-cave to start the metal toys.

Call me weird, but I'd take the Triumph...
AC Cobra (if real) is ALSO a Brit car with Detroit muscle shoehorned into it. FYI
No matter how lost you are.......music can bring you home. (there are a few exceptions, however)
Triumph kind of guy here also.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

A lot of folks don't realize there are primarily 2 versions of the Cobra. The early AC Cobra made from a British AC Car's 6 cylinder roadster which Shelby fit a Ford 260 or 289 small block V8 and the later Shelby 427 Cobra built in the USA and fitted with a larger body made specifically for it by the AC Cars Co. imported from Brittan.
Technically there was a third Cobra also built in the US called the Dayton coupe that was a stretched 427 car with a totally new enclosed aluminum body that made it very aerodynamic. The Daytona was good for 200 mph, an improvement over the open roadsters which got loose above 145 mph.
Oldman.....don't be surprised one day if you find me on your doorstep begging for a ride bro. Those are 2 primo examples you have there my friend. I'm sure lots of sweat went into them too....along with some coin.
Of the six Daytona Coupes built, only the original prototype was made by Shelby in the U.S. The remaining chassis were built by AC with the final assembly completed in Italy. Cobra name was officially used again starting with the 1968 GT 350 and GT 500. Prior to that the 65 and 66 Shelby GT 350 and 67 GT 350 and GT 500 had Cobra badges but were never officially "Cobras". Of course now Cobra has been used in lot of Shelby branded vehicles.Originally Posted by OldmanSRS

Shack,
You are right. I forgot that Shelby sent the coupe plans to Italy for fabrication and the Italians changed the roofline to make the coupe que bella. Their change altered the airflow so the Shelby team added the rear spoiler to compensate.
