    Default Yet more Audioquest

OK.....so I made a trip up to Anchorage to the Magnolia HT center at Best Buy. I had recently had a friend pick up some AQ King Cobra interconnects since they are all on sale as they are trying to get rid of the AQ line. I still had Monster Cable for my speaker wire and wanted to replace it. They had a pair of AQ CV-8 speaker cables with the DBS system for about $300, or almost $400 dollars off! I couldn't pass on such a bargain and also picked up two Sub-X subwoofer cables as well. Everything sounds so smooth now on my system. I'm thrilled as I think this finishes everything I wanted and I feel like I can finally rest and not spend any more $$$ for a while.

Does anyone know if cables with the DBS system on them need a burn in period or not?? Just curious....

Sweet! Congrats on your find and killer deal. AQ makes excellent cables.

Yes, according to AQ, the DBS system needs 2 weeks to get all the molecules charged up by the magnetic field so they would all face the same direction. But they say, it's pretty much broken in all the time. It's just that last little bit that need more time after connection.
You can disconnect the battery packs to hear the difference. Haven't tried this yet but read about it in an interview with AQ.
