    Default Subwoofer on/off

    If you set your subwoofer to off on your receiver, what exactly does that do? Does it send the LFE signal to the mains if they are set to large? I know that the low frequency signals from the other speakers that are set to small go to the mains if the subwoofer is set to off. But what about the LFE signal?
