Default GIDRAH " South Korea "

I was Stationed in South Korea also. 1987-88 with the 36th sig batalion. I had it really hard in Pusan. I was on a mountain overlooking Hyudai Beach. Had toooo much fun in the VILLE. I rotated back to the States without anything falling off!!! Which was not easy. Oh to be 18 again

I was at Osan AB from 98-99......yeah, the guys down at Pusan had it real rough Although Osan wasn't too shabby....

I did my fair share to keep the OB brewery in business. You guys ever want to try some NASTY beer, go to an import beer store and grab a sixer of OB.....

OB!!! You can smell it 20 feet away. Thats sparked more memories. How about the SoJu parties? I can't spell but the phonics are right.

White Dogs, Ammo Bowls......yeah, I be knowin' about some soju. In fact I think I might still have a couple of combat bottles (plastic) for medicinal purposes....

Actually, I stayed away from soju for the most part but I do have a few VERY interesting stories about it that will go untold.

    Default OB hannah jusayo!

Camp Carrol Feb89-Feb90. Part of the 19th SupCom. I've drank many a GALLON of soju. Ever try that other drink they had mahkley (sp?)? It looked like milk but tasted like dirty turpentine. Monday morning PT had a strong stench of kimchee and soju oozing from my pores. No other oozings for me. I was the epitome of a ville rat, just a smart ville rat. OB (Oriental Breweries) has an acquired taste. At first it was horrid, a few months later I was ordering it on post at the NCO club.

BTW That's where I picked up my Monitor 10Bs. Except for a brief stint with a Sony DPL rcvr, I've been happy ever since.

Ya the Winter Kimchee... That clears the pores. I liked it the first time I ate it.
On the remote site of Changson, the Site Chief did not make us do PT because he new that 5 uSec after shift we RAN down or slid, a 4000 ft mountain to get to the ville. A lot of incentive there!!!

I'm taking the fifth there cochese......Yeah, I've done my share of death marches with yaki, Ms. Kim's Burgers and chicken on a stick......BTW, they totally redid the main drag down to the railroad tracks so it's not really open to traffic anymore, it actually looked pretty nice.

What squadron were you with? I was 631st AMSS (aerial port) so I really wasn't part of the 51st FW although we still had to suck rubber.

I was in the 31st SOS -- Pave Low helos. We were attached from the 353rd SOG in Kadena, and we had to suck rubber too.

Osan, Jul 89-Jul 90. I was with the 5th Tactical Air Control Group Operations Division at Suwon. Dang, I miss Korea!

Does the Main Gate look anything like this now? Something tells me Miss Lee's not waiting for me anymore.... :(

If only she knew I ended up buying LSi-15's! :D
