Bands do that crap all the time.
Because you have volume one of a 40 song 2 CD set. ;)Originally Posted by dragon1952
So you will go out and buy the CD that has that song.

Well that explains it.....they saved it for for that one and then added a bunch of fillerOriginally Posted by shack
I didn't even know there was a Chronicle II. Well if Volume I is called '20 Greatest Hits' then Born on the Bayou' should be on IT, or else they shouldn't have called it '20 Greatest Hits'
Yep, I just bought it on Ebay :)Originally Posted by janmike

That just means around x-mas time they will release another cd titled "The Ultimate Hits" and include that song so you have to buy that 1 too.Originally Posted by dragon1952

Eh, both CDs are great, don't worry! Enjoy it all. I love CCR. Lodi being my personal favorite.
I remember buy Billy Squier's greatest hits and "Lonely is the Night" was left off.
I have both discs and both are great.
Ill have to agree with demi on that one. Lodi is probably my favorite song.
you guys are failing to look at the big picture....
CCR and the term "greatest hits" don't go together anyway
"she had the body of Venus, with arms."
Pfft, one of the best bands ever.

Actually I don't even own '20 greatest Hits". I thought that's what I had bought but actually I had decided to buy the original recordings and had started with their first, self titled CD. I was still surprised that Born on the Bayou wasn't on the Greatest Hits though when I searched on it. I ended up just buying the original CD which happens to be titled 'Bayou Country'.

My favorite CCR song would be "Ramble Tamble".Originally Posted by Demiurge

Usually right, but sometimes not entirely factually correct.
Shifting to Plan B
"Suzie Q", "I Put A Spell on You", "Run Through the Jungle" and "Commotion" top my CCR favorite list.Originally Posted by mrbigbluelight

GREAT band. Piss poor recordings.
