Default Banana plugs won't go all the way in?

    Hello everyone

I just bought some banana plugs for my speaker wire today, and it's really hard to get them into the binding post. Am I really supposed to push them in more, because I'm scared of breaking my speakers.

Try rotating them slightly and pushing. Don't push hard.

i have polk monitor 40s and 30s and i used acoustic research screw cap banana plugs. They go mostly all the way in after i tried turning and then pushing, but the tip before the banana plug is cone shaped, so they don't go in all the way (that would be physically impossible).
