Default Rti 10's for sale $500

I know this is the "speaker" thread, but I thought I might get a few more hits this way. Also posted in "for sale."

Ok guys. I've tried here before, I've tried Ebay and Craigslist, all to no avail. I guess I'm stuck with my 10's for now. I'll repost, though, in case there are any newbies.

2 year old Black Ash Rti 10's well broken-in and in great shape. Minor flaw of a small crack in bottom plasctic face plate of one speaker, not noticeable unless crouched down to really look at it.

Also included: home made bi-jumpers made out of Audioquest Type 4 speaker cable, terminated w/ silver bananas and sealed w/ heat-shrink tubing.

Would prefer local p/u (San Francisco Bay Area) for convenience but I'm open to shipping at buyer's cost. Post a thread or PM me if interested. Thanks.

Simply unloading the 10's in favor of my new Vienna Acoustics Beethovens. They're in perfect working condition.

I'll talk to my friend in San Jose. He is looking into building a system, I'll definitely let him know.

Greg, congrats on the Bethovens, I know you've been talking about it for a while. Did you get the Primare too?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Thanks for the contrats. The speakers are amazing. My musical listening has definitely been boosted in quality.

Alas, no I did not get a Primare yet. Eventually I may choose to get a separate amp, but at this point I've settled on not having a separate two-channel setup, simply due to space and cost. The way I see it, I can eventually build on the system to make it better for music, such as a separate amp, a better CD/DVD player, etc. I'm going to be getting a pair of Audioquest Mont Blanc for my main cables, which will do nicely.

Also, I found out that the new DV79AVi from Pioneer Elite can be had in Silver for only $600. Apparently silver is not popular enough to retail for the usual $1000 but popular enough to make in the first place. Whatever. I'll go with silver to save $400. It's supposed to be an excellent player. That's probably going to be my next purchase down the line a bit, then a new amp.

I'm very happy with my system so far, though, and the B&K drives the Beethovens very well. I'm not in a hurry to upgrade too much at this point, as the difference in speakers made a tremendous difference. These speakers have so much bass it's unbelievable. I've literally turned the sub off for two-channel simply because no sub is needed. Eventually I'll run the sub with a double speaker cable line from the mains and set the cross-over to the lowest setting, but for now the speakers themselves produce tremendous lows.

Anyway, looking to cover some of the costs by selling the Polks, but having a hard time. If you can get the word out Mutelight that would be great. Thanks.
