    Default HK owners

I have been looking everywhere for this answer. Left it alone for a while and now it's back and buggin the crap out of me.

I am not using 6&7chs on my 335. Can that be used to assist in my mains or is this just a big waste of time. I think it would be of a bi-amp from AVR.

    thanks

My 635 doesn't offer biamping off the Surround Back channels. I thought it would, but it doesn't.

They are for 6 and 7 channels or remote / multi-room only, from what I can tell. Anyway, peeps here don't think bi-amping off the same powersource does much, so doesn't seem like it would be that great even if HK's were set up for biamping off the unused SBRs.

    BUY AN AMP!!!

There are good, cheap ones out there. Get yourself something. If you don't like it, sell it for same price.

I bought some small TFM-6s (65WPC stereo, 200WPC bridged) and really liked them. So much that I upgraded to a bigger amp within a few weeks. I've found use for all three of them (B&K powering fronts, one TFM for center, the second for some outdoor speakers.)

Good thinking, get one that will power at least all your fronts the same. B&K makes some good three channel amps (any of their amps that ends in 30 or .3) and I think they are very well made, good sounding amps. They, and just about everyone else, make some good 5-channel amps as well. Everyone here seems to like Rotel and Outlaw, but my B&K has treated me well.

Not sure who I will end up with but at min a 3 ch amp will soon be sitting on my shelf. I am not going to buy an amp @80wpc if I'm doing this I'm doing it right. I'll be looking at 125wpc+. Ohhh I can't wait.

Very nice. Yeah, if my Monitor 60s benefited from the separate amplification, your Rti8s surely will as well.

Check out Audiogon and ebay, chose a few models you are interested in, search the completed auctions to see what they had gone for recently, then wait for a great deal to come along.

Don't do what I did when purchasing an amp, which was: get in fight with gf, drink a few beers, see that tax return had been deposited, and buy impulsively off ebay at 1am :)
