Power not to subwoofer.............???HELP!!

Most of the power is going to the 6x9 and not my subwoofer. Well, my trunk was rattling (a good thing) so I took the sub out of the trunk to see if it was the sub. I take it out, the trunk is still rattling, and even w/out Hi Frequency on music comes out of the sub. But most of the power is to the 6x9, which I don't know are hooked up. But I dunno if they are to the amp. But yeah idk what to do. Somone help!

OK, most of the "pound" is going to my 6x9 speakers. The sub moves, but not a lot. And I do not have the high power frequency on, and music still comes from the sub. The trunk was rattling, and I took the sub out to see how it sounded, and the trunk still rattled. SO i looked at the speakers, and they were "pounding". When I say "pounding", I mean the bass is mostly going to the 6x9 speakers.

Which amp is running your sub?

Youre still not telling me anything. I need to know what amp you are using. Is it a 2 channel, 4 channel, mono?

My guess is that its a 2 channel and that 500 watts is max which means its really about a 200 watt amp.

If youre running the 6x9s off the left and right channels and have the sub bridged mono then your amp is probably overloading first off as I doubt its tri-way capable.

But lets assume further that it is. The amp is probably about 75x2 or 200x1 and if youre running it tri-way then youre getting about 50 to each 6x9 and 100 to the sub which is pitiful. Thats not anywhere near enough power to push a sub especially a 12 inch however 50 watts is enough to push 6x9s. So youre underpowering your sub and properly powering your 6x9's.

You need to get another 2 channel amp for your sub and preferably one in the 300-400 watt RMS and not max or peak power range.

So, do you have the rear left and right channels bridged to the sub with the low pass filter on?

Do you have the front left and right channels running the left and right 6x9's with the low pass filter off?

Max 100 watt per channel.....Bridgeing amp- max output 250 watt??? I only get 250 of it if I bridge it???.....low pass filter(80 hz, -18 dB/oct) and high pass filter(80 hz, -12 dB/oct).....pulse power supply for stable regulated output power......Direct connection can be made with the speaker output of your car audio if it is not equipped with the line output (High-level input connection) Could it be I have the cables in the wrong places?

First things first, responding to your own posts and not able to put more than one thought in a post makes you hover around infant level of intelligence.

You ARE the one currently acting most like a moron, and therefore could probably learn a few things from the test.......

Youve lost me again on the amp specs. Find the model number and give me that so I can look it up for myself.

If it is a 4 channel amp, you will run the left 6x9 off the left front channel of the amp- the right 6x9 off the right front channel of the amp. For your sub you will take the left rear negative and hook it up to the negative of the sub and the right rear positive to the positive of the sub. (your amp may be different. Look above the speaker outputs on the amp and it should show you which to use for neg and pos if bridged)

Turn the low pass filter ON for the rear channels and leave it off on the front channels.

First you want to turn the LPF (low pass filter) ON. Now the level is the gain, and youre going to want it up a lot higher. Turn it to the "noon" position ( .1 on the dial) and see how that sounds.

It also tells me the bridged diagram. Run the left rear positive to the subs positive and the right rear negative to the subs negative.
