    Default "Overkill" system wire management

All I have left now are the speaker wires. Having moved the gear over into the wall, left me with many short wires. So its back to the store when I have time, to buy more speaker wire (I'll be working 13 hour shifts all of next week....gotta pay for this stuff somewhow).

I gotta admit, the wiring came out pretty neat. There's a few more things I can do to make it even neater.

I found those gray plastic wire holders at the local electronics store. They are the two tall strips on the outside of the racks, and they house all the electrical wiring for a really clean look. Plastic tie wraps help keep all the interconnects in neat bundles, and all are routed towards the center whenever possible, in order to keep them away from any electrical interference. Plus, there are now 4 seperate 15 amp. outlets to power the entire system, where amazingly, it ran on one outlet previously.

I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to work in such an open space, as opposed to trying to get at the wires behind a rack that is up against a wall... a probem I've had to endure for many years.

Real nice! That looks like you're using Monster Power centers. The only thing I dislike about those is that you can't upgrade the stock power cable:(

Do those power centers "need" upgrading of the power cable?

I think the Monster Centers have a 16 guage wire. All my equipment has upgraded PS Audio cables 10 guage or larger. It seems like the critical link is from the wall to the power center. It makes sense that if you're plugging in large shielded cables that a large shielded cable should be feeding the power center. Just my opinion. Most other manufacturer's products have an IEC connection so you can use an upgraded cable.
