I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Waldo,
Good call on the Alice and Chains-"Unplugged"![]()
Not a huge Kiss fan, but they had a decent live album.

My Morning Jacket - Okonokos
Pirumus - Hallucino-Genetics
Got to witness that one live, and relive it on DVD.
The Allman Bros. at The Fillmore was broadcast live on WNEW-FM in New York City. I taped the whole show on my trusty Vivitar cassette deck and had that "album" about a year before it became an album.
Mountain was the warm-up band and I taped them too. It would also become a live release, but many years down the road.
Sinatra at the Sands w/Count Basie Orchestra
Recently bagged a minty pressing of Big Swing Face....two thumbs up as well.
I suppose we should throw in the Belafonte at Carnegie set. Great recording, questionable material. Some great some so-so.

I ALWAYS use an ass-gasket. Never hover because of splash down and back splatter. I also float landing pad made from TP for a soft landing to avoid the above. One can never be too cautious when dealing with the general public. - RonP
I'm glad to see it's been mentioned several times...

The brass on BSF couldn't BE any more lush, and Buddy was in rare form that night. Now find "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" and you're good. Those were the premier Buddy Rich Big Band albums.
Troy, check out "Love for Sale" on BSF. Towards the end the music abruptly stops and he does an open roll on the snare that is the fastest that a human could possibly play it.
Note to the two or three people who are going to insist Neil Peart could play it faster or better. "Don't make me, and anybody else that knows ANYTHING about playing the drums, laugh in your face publicly." Buddy was, The Man. Period. All others are pretenders to the throne, to this day.
