Default Check Speaker Wire?????? Yamaha problem

When ever I turn up my receiver it turns off after a while and says check speaker wire? Is the receiver getting too hot? Not enough space?
Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening??? It not even that loud.
Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!!

Have you checked the cables to see if maybe they are not connected properly ?

It is usually from a loose strand of speaker wire touching the back of the receiver, causing it to short out. Turn on the receiver and turn it down. Start playing the test tones that cycle through each of the speakers. Turn up the receiver and play the tone through each speaker. If it turns off on one particular speaker, check the wiring on that one.

+1 on fireshoes, or it's getting too hot. Low impedence loads(or strands shorting the terminals) make the amp run hot, and I think that particular message on yamaha's is just set off by a thermal switch.
