First off, subs have never been my forte in car audio. I like to have some good bass, as long as it meshes with the music well and doesnt overpower. Therefore, I am looking more for a quality sub at a decent price. I would ideally like to have four 8" subs, but am sure I would be content with two. To paint a picture, I absolutely love my pair of db124's as it is a great sounding sub with a great price at 50 each.
I have an mtx 942 designated for subs (birthsheet had it rated at just under 800 watts rms), so power is not an issue for 8"s. I would be happy to have the momo or db series 8", but would like to hear about some of the more obscure companies out there and how they stack up compared to polk's line. I.E. soundsplinter, elemental designs, adire, arc, rainbow.
I would also like to know everyones feelings on the new "flat" subs that pioneer and a few other companies have come out with.
