Interesting A/B test

My son came by with his 60gb PS3 so I could check out the BR player. We hooked up the PS3 via hdmi to my JVC, optical to the DA4 and ran MI3 BR disc in it. I also ran the standard version of the movie in my 999es and played the same scenes for the comparison. Well, the BR had a little more video detail, it looked better but not jaw dropping like I thought it would be. The biggest difference came in the SQ. The BR had a more open and lively sound (bright to some) which was very good for movies. I liked the BR pq, but I will wait on a decently priced universal to come out. Til then, I'll just buy the OPPO 981 and call it a day. Anyone else do any head to head runs?
