    Default Help!

Ok.. I'm a music junkie. I have 2 huge SONY speakers, Center speaker and rear speakers, all connected to a Pioneer VSX-D606S which is connected to my PC. everything worked X-cellent until this morning when my reciever simply didn't turn on! It makes the usual clicking noises that it does when it normally turns on, but now except for the noises- NOTHING. It simply won't turn on. I've checked ALL the wiring, took the wall plug out, put it back in- NOTHING!
Please help! I NEED MUSIC! :(

    Welcome to the Forum Eric...

The "clicking" you described sounds like it is attempting to turn on. Is there anything that lights up on the front display? Such as "protect"?
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I don't listen to loud music.. just some background tunes while I work on the PC or have a chick in the room. The front speakers are OLD. SS-630.

It seems those are 8 ohm speaks, so I don't think you overloaded your receiver. Have you checked to make sure all of your connections are secure? Mainly, the speaker wire -- with no conductors touching each other or overly exposed.

Check the internal fuses, but I suspect you'll need to have the unit serviced by a pro.

Well, I opened the reciever. So much stuff in there and suddenly I saw a burned out fuse... the thing is so small! I can't believe it managed to screw up such a big machine.

Congrats Mr. Crow but the problem may still exist.Running the kind of gear you have should not blow a fuse.Do you have stuff or other gear stacked on top of it?Make shure your speaker wires are not touching each other at the connections.Glad you have music again, does help with the chicks.:)

The Crow #1 is one of my favorite movies! I thought #3 was better than #2.
