Default My new Home Theater setup

    Hey gang -

I finally completed my new home theater setup. I have two pics listed below. The rear speakers are not shown; they were not in the pictures. Let me know what you think, and sorry for the quality!

Nice setup. Clean and simple. The only recommendation I have is to spread out the front stage a little. It might give you a better sense of sound tracking across the front speakers.

Yeah, and move your speakers forward a few inches so they are flush with the TV stand.

I like it. As per the other recommendations, you might want to move the speakers out another foot or two on each side and then experiment with some toe in to broaden the soundstage across the front channels.
Lovin that music year after year.

Thank you all for the recommendations! I will definitely toy around with it a little more. I'm sorry, but I feel a little newbie by asking, "what do you mean flush with the TV stand?"

Get the speakers out even with the front of the tv stand, or in front of it. As suggested, widen it up also - I'd take them out to what appears to be the edge of the area rug you have, and maybe even play with a slight toe-in.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Thank you Russ!! However, if I pull them out in front of the TV stand, do you think that the speakers would then be too close to the couch? Thanks!

No ... You just want the front edge of the speakers to be closer to you then the TV stand so that the TV stand doesn't interfere with what you hear ...

See the attached as an example ... Look at where the front of the speaker feet are versus the front of the TV and stand are ...

You MAY also want to toe them in a little ... play with the positioning some and see what the differences sound like ...
