My opinion is that I can't believe that you are comparing Polk to KLH. :)

They aren't even in the same league.

I'm with Phuz on this one.

You must Have some KLH's I've never seen, because all the ones I've heard can't hold a candle to Polk's. But that's just my opinion:)

What kind of music? Details, broham, details. We all hear what we hear but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Generally, I find if a speaker is musical it will also do well with HT.

Rucy, you got some 'splaining to do.....

I ALWAYS use an ass-gasket. Never hover because of splash down and back splatter. I also float landing pad made from TP for a soft landing to avoid the above. One can never be too cautious when dealing with the general public. - RonP

    Default ....linkin park

with the klh dont sound good in ht with my other polks...cs245i, rt25i....the 35i's of course sound better.... the 35i's when played loud playing stuff like lp and creed, 12 stones etc...the drums sound faded....on the 900b's you hear all the instruments....but then again i could be wrong and just imagining things

They KLH may not be as flat responding as the POLK, and some of these insturments that you are hearing shouldn't be as loud as they are.

What kind of amp, or reciever are you using?

The KLH is a much worse speaker, they just sound bad, are you sure what you are listening to is what you are supposed to hear?

Ok you guys I love you but give him a break. KLH was the first real
speaker I owned. They were good back in the day. Developed by
the late Henry Kloss who also invented Acoustic Research, Advent,
and Cambridge Sound Works, all of which are still around today. I
to don't think they compete with polk. But they were the prelude to what we enjoy today. No way Matt Polk didn't look at, and listen to these, take the best from them. Now having said that...

Let's not confuse the KLH of today with the KLH a la the late Henry Kloss.......the hifi world of today owes MUCH of where it is today to Mr. Kloss

Vintage KLH's be some DAMN fine speaks. Ima get my KLH model 17 on here in about a week and a half at Senor Grand's Rancho de No Concerno.....

Personally, I'd give my left nugget for a pair of Model 9's

Most of us are well aware of the history, but the KLH of yesterday and today, are no-where even close to each other.

    Default yeah...

I did a good listen today for a hour or two...the rt35i's are the better of the two...the klh is close to ear shattering played loud...but they play louder than the polks at the same volume level...but the polks sound way better...you know the build quality on the klh's compared to the polks...the klh is a tonka toy and the polk is like a japanese car...lol! But the 35i's are the better....

    as soon as i get a camera...i guess i'll take some pics...lol!

Has neone heard yamaha cd players...they sound awesome....lol i got one off etronics...and they sound good...lol
