Default New TOY “Soundstage Vacuum Two Class A Tube Pream

    Hi Guys,

I just acquired 10 units of this tube gem “Soundstage Vacuum Two Class A Tube Preamp”. The sound is absolutely awesome. Smooth, silky sound with tight bass and astonishing soundstage is one of the distinct characteristics. Paired with my Parasaund HCA-1500A solid state (205 wpc at 8ohms) amp, using Original AT8 CD tube player as a source and Lsi15’s. The audio sound reproduced by this preamp is heaven!

These units are brand new in sealed boxes and come with JAN 6922 Philips NOS/NIB tubes, which are included in the package as an upgrade (compare the value: US $39.90 + US 9.95 shipping) at thetubestore.com. If you like tube sound and plan to roll variety of NOS tubes this is fantastic preamp to own and have fun with!!

If you would like one see my Polk “For Sale Classified” you will be absolutely amazed! I have tested this baby and am impressed. The preamp needs at least 20 hours to break in to achieve the ultimate potential audio sound.

If you want to improve the SQ even further I have replaced the standard AC cord with heavy duty AC power cord, rolled variety of tubes and used higher quality IC between my source and power amp.

    Cheers

    Gator :) :)

I will post higher resolution pics tonight. The ones in Polk “For Sale Classified” are to small to see the quality build of this preamp.

    Hey Willow,

You should grab one of these units. I have tested it and the SQ it absolutely awesome! Very resonable price too. We compared it and auditioned with Audio Reaserch tube preamp and in blind test on Lsi15's we had hard time to tell a difference.

    cheers

Well congrats on your new toys.

I do have some questions on tubes. I notice most tube ratings are on the low side, but able to drive demanding speakers. So what WPC rating on a tube would be = to say 200wpc on a SS ? if this makes sense

I’m not an expert on tube technical data. My ASL AQ1003 DT “Class A” 35wpc integrated plays as load as my Parasaund HCA-1500A solid state (205 wpc at 8ohms) amp if that help and make sense. The ASL is EL 34 tube and I use Lsi15 speakers.
