    Default Need for Speed: Carbon

**disclaimer** I am not a gamer

Anyone else playing Need for speed: Carbon on PS3? I don't have alot of gaming experience but I am really enjoying this game. I like the graphics and am in love with the sound. Wow, it really fills the room and has lots of lfe.

    Any thoughts from you experts;)

Yep, sure is one addicting game to play. I've never played games before either, maybe a few when I was little on the Commodore 64.

I played it and the GT HD demo. I just liked Ridge Racer more. The graphics are insane and the drift system is perfect. As for as just out right fun racing series, i recently got into "BurnOut" and a new one for PS2 is coming out soon, called Dominater.
PS3 and HD Front Projection, life is good. Too bad Blu-Ray and the PS3 are already obsolete.....

Beat it in a week. It was entertaining during that time. The movie-style plotline has some really corny acting and stuff, but there are a lot of customizable features on the vehicles--especially in terms of visuals (I'm not a fan of crazy stickers and bodykits, but for those of you who are, you should appreciate it that much more)
There were several races toward the end that took a few tries to beat, so I would say that it definitely had its challenging moments. And the police chases are always an entertaining passtime.

Yeah, the acting is a little tough to handle, but the game has some great elements to it. I like the free-roam type play and have yet to re-play on the other two car-types so it has some real re-playability potential.... good for a $60 game.

The graphics are very good. The sound is top notch. Great surround use and implementation. There is a lot of bass both in effects and music and throughout it is very deep and tight. The sound leaves little else to be desired. The graphics are not too dissimilar to those of Burnout. Very cool blurring effects when you are really hauling ass.

So yeah, this has been the game I have been playing most lately. I needed a break from Gears. This game is very fun. Very basic, simple, but fun. I like the addition of the drifting events. Its unique, at least to me, and give a nice change from the typical race events.

My one complaint is that I get wasted online. I can't seem to unlock enough cars to be competitive with those playing against me online. I'm sure that will correct itself once I play more.

Anyways, very fun game. Good game for playing against a friend. Well worth the $40 I spent for it on Amazon.

Played it on the 360, didn't like it at all. I'm still a big fan of Gran Turismo series, so I guess that's what I'm used to.

Not yet. I enjoyed the demo though. I spent too much on audio gear this month, so next month I'll probably pick it up along with the wheel.
