Nice find!

I am picking up a pair of LSi15's from a authorized dealer in NYC for $1200.
I know of a guy who'd sell them for $1150 shipped (at least to me). Dealer in California. Contact me for details.
dont you love getting your speakers for a good price :)
I'd rather buy them used and still under warranty in the 800's but that's just me.
Purchased two pairs for 700$ a pop.:) Shipped too!Originally Posted by dorokusai

All-in? That's why I stay away from those Polkfest poker games. Polks shouldn't be gambled with.Originally Posted by SolidSqual

This is all for my media room where I will jam HD movies and music. Z-Tech has great prices.
The question is now that some time has passed are you still happy about the purchase with these guys? Im looking at a big spend so a ref would help the cause! Also...any opinions from the group on the 15s in the back vs the Fxs in the back will be helpful (and no, I cannot get a pre-amp amp due to my multizone setup without a bunch more cashe!)
I am extremely happy with my 15s. I received them last week in perfect condition. The packaging was better than anything I have ever seen. I would look at a separate amplifier.
Although Marantz makes an exceptional product, I think most people in this forum would tell you that getting a separate amplification would be the wisest plan of action at the LSi level. For ****s and giggles I hooked my 15s up to my Yamaha HTR 5890. The speaker produced sound, but not nearly at the level and clarity of my HALO A23. Plus my HALO did it without breaking a sweat. I personally believe you would be seriously crippling your system by running a 5.1 LSi setup off a receiver.
Perhaps you could slow your build process by first building a 2 channel system. You could get a refurbished HALO A23 at audioadvisor.com for around $650. Then
My problem is that I need the Marantz's multi zone capability to manage my game room too. I have a setup with infrared that allows me to operate in another room with a shared wall. That room has 5 speakers and a tv. The media room has all the standard stuff with the hope of adding the new speaker setup. In a perfect world I would be able to rock all of the speakers in both rooms on occasion.
Is there a way to pump up my power output significantly and still use the Marantz? The Marantz drives 125 Watts into 8 Ohms.

BTW, that amp is 225x5 at 4ohms, plus 2x95 @4ohms.... and only $499!
Thanks. I found out from another post that I could do that. I didn't even realize I could add an amp and use my receiver as a pre-amp.
