If you happen to NOT like them, i'll buy them from you for the same price +shipping immediately. :)

Thumbs up 40% off at Borders

This 40% off coupon is only good thru today.
You can use this on only one item and requires a Borders membership.

You can use this on almost any other purchase you want as well with some specific exclusions (such as No Vinyl, BOGO, eBooks, magazines, comics, video games, etc) but appears to work for most books and CDs incl box sets.

I tested it on the Beatles Mono Box set (even though its backordered) and it worked - took $60 bucks more off of the selling price of $242, final price calculated to about $182. (Its already listed at 20% off) - That's about 20% less than Amazon.

The Beatles Stereo Box set was $184, and comes to $158 after coupon. This only took an additional $26 off. (its already listed at 30% off)

Note the discount is calculated and subtracted from the List price-its not additive to the current sale price- but still better.

    And Free Shipping over $25.

At the Borders.com, use Promotion Code:
    for 40% thru 11/2: BRE1129H
    for 20% thru 11/4: BAF6652H

Here's a link to the actual coupon in case you want to see the exclusion details or print it for use in store.

    Enjoy!

    ***Edit
Just for kicks I did this with the Complete DVD set for Star Trek Deep Space 9, Retail of $446, the coupon saves you $178.40 for a total of $268 - so if you're a Start Trek fan.....I'm sure you can find somethig you like and save.

I know :) He's willing to ship but that could result in astronomical shipping fee for these big boys.

One thing to note though, is the fact that the speakers are of slightly different shades of cherry. However, from talking to him, performance is really great. These are one notch above the Lsi line from what I heard. Great deal for sure. I would've jumped on them if I didn't buy my RtiA5s recently.

A pair of Totem Sttaf for $700 obo. (with Beaks included). The deal-breaker may be "local P/U only", but this is by far the best price I have ever seen for 'em.

If you are in need of a receiver:

Sixth Avenue Electronics had the Pioneer Elite VSX-21THX for 499 online only (well, really telephone) only. I went in the store and they said they would match their online price. And they were out of the VSX-21 so the guy gave me the VSX-23 for 499! And they are an authorized dealer!

AND I also went to the one in the bad neighborhood for half sales tax lol.

(Not sure.. is 6th Avenue national or just a NY/NJ thing?)

I remember helping a friend pick out a new pair of JBLs (actually a sub-sat system before they were everywhere) when the only store was the one actually on Sixth Avenue....

I wanted to buy them, but it's a 2 1/2 hour drive, and no way i'd be able to swing that, being as I'd have to do it without my wife knowing :). Hopefully someone would get some good use out of them! Since they dropped from 200 to 150, I'm guessing little interest. Maybe you could grab them even cheaper? It may be pushing it though.

SDA1c's studio version. The guy wanted $150 three days ago and promised them to me but then stated he got a ton of emails and raised the price to $300 which is still a good deal.
