Those are Franken Polks. Atleast one if not both of the main drivers don't look to be stock either (especially the upper one).

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Good eye. I didn't even notice the drivers 'cause the tweeters just jumped out at me.

If I didn't know any better I'd say that looks like an old JBL pure titanium diaphragm tweeter that was readily available in a number of their speakers in the early 90s. What its doing in a set of Polks is beyond me. If that's what I think it is, it is actually a decent tweeter in a JBL speaker with JBL crossovers, etc. I can't even imagine what it would sound like in a set of Polks or how one would go about modifying it for such use.

But I could be wrong about my take on what this is?

For someone in central FL this might be a good snag for you. 6 speaker set, including Polk, Cerwin Vega and Velodyne for $150.

If I hadn't already bought my Sansui G-9700, I'd jump on this. An excellent receiver at a good price given the condition it appears to be in.
