Smile Help on Surround Back Speaker Selection

First off , I am new to this club Polk and it appears to be a great place to get some first hand-experience.
I am building a house presently and setting up my Theater. Equipment I have purchased already is a Denon 4806 AVR, Polk LSI- 15, LSI-C, LSI-Fx. I also have a Velodyne 14inch Subwoofer.
What I am having trouble with is deciding what type of surround back speakers I should purchase for 7.1. Everything I have read leads me to believe that the Fx should be my surround left n right. My surround back speakers I have not purchased yet but should they be something like a LSI-9 or a LSI-7?
I am running some 12 awg wire bi wiring to each speaker as well. Bi wire seems to make a lot of sense. Basically it is seperating the lo filter from the hi filter in each speaker. Capacitor filters tend to fight each other in parallel.
I will be adding a Denon Hi-def DVD player once its released.
If anyone has suggestions or any experiences with this equipment please send me some advice.
    Thanks
    Pooch13

I recommend LSi-7s or LSiFXs as the 9's don't mount on walls well. Or you could just stick with 5.1, as many feel their 7.1 setups weren't worth the extra investment.

    Welcome to the forum!

    What Dane said. :-)
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

personally, and this is just me.. i'd not even worry about getting rear surrounds. and just go 5.1 instead.

why not hook up your LSi's you got right now. and see how it sounds? i'm sure i't's going to sound killer. then if it really bugs you, then think about adding the rear surrounds. you could always use another pair of LSiFX for rear surrounds as well. no reason you couldn't .

FX for back wall mount and your choice for left and ride side speakers. Floor standing (for side speakers) are the easiest to place. More and more things are being produced for 7.1 surround.

    Have fun and enjoy,

First off welcome!! Our Set up is similar to yours with the exception of the back speakers, we've got a pair of 9's on stands in the back and they sound awsome, all LSi 15's Main, C center, FX sides, 9's back. The 7's would work great for the back as well but if you A-B the 7's and 9's you'll probably end up with the 9's.

Hope this helps and please keep us posted on how it all turns out!
