IMO.....anything $600.00 or less would be a great deal. $700.00 or less a good price! So.....if you can bag them at let say $550.00, that would be a super good price!

I got them for $660. The guy says they're in perfect condition
and he's the original owner so I'm pretty excited. What's the
scoop with the different wood options? These are oak which
are very nice. I understand they come in different wood
types.

Congrats......you are going to love them. I think the 1C's are every bit as good as any SDA, just in a smaller package. They may be the best "overall" SDA there is. Looks like you got them at a good price....Oh, the bottle has been to me, my closes friend, my worse enemy!

I used your thoughts on prices and good deals as my
guide. I've read a lot about the 1-C's and can't
wait to get them and listen to them. I love my SDA2's
but the 1-C's are supposed to be a big upgrade.
What tweeter does the 1-C's use? I have the SL2000
tweeters in my 2's. Do you know what years the 1-C's
were made?

The 1c's use the SL2000, so you will match well. I'm not positive....I "think" from 88 to 91...:cool:

I picked up my 1-C's yesterday, I love them. I listened to
a good cross section of music from jazz to classic rock to
Radiohead and everything sounded great. Very detailed
and great imaging. I can't imagine ever getting rid of these
speakers. Thanks to Nascarman and F1nut for the guidance
in buying these. He did give me the custom speaker stands
he had them sitting on but I'm not using them. They're just
the right heigth the way they are.
