    Default Biggs' Regal in CA&E

Anybody pick up this months Car Audio and Electronics? They did a tear down of Gary Biggs' Buik Regal. Ya know the one thats won 7 World SQ Championships!!!

The thing that blows me away is how basically simple it is. A set of JBL 5.25 components in the kicks firing across at each other and a 10" sub (although the sub is mounted INSIDE the firewall!!).

Its a very cool article! Also gives me a lot of hope since Im also using a set of 5.25 components and 10" sub! :D

everything 'should' fire from the front... so a sub in the firewall is honest-to-god ideal.

Not to mention the two 15" subs in the rear. In using the 10" for midbass up front, localization isn't a problem (like it would be using tens in the rear or rear quarters for that purpose).

I'd love to have a 10" doing midbass duty up front, but I'm not prepared to integrate one in my firewall :( . Major surgery, but a great idea for a competition vehicle.

The 15's are for SPL only. The SQ system only uses the 10 in the firewall.

Has he still got those same damn 508 GTi's in the front? OMG...that crap hasn't changed a bit! lol. I'm going to call that boy and give him some crap. Or, call his "better half"... I remember when he first put the woofer where the heater core area was and I remember when it was still a basic "white" Regal. (I wonder if I still have those pictures...) Come to think of it...I think I still have a ser of those 508 GTi's in the garage in the boxes!

Seriously...I worked with him at Car Toys in Tulsa for about 7 years. We both left in 2001 to pursue other jobs. He went to Kicker and I went to work for a rep firm. Man, we had a great crew back then. Oh, the stories I have on that boy.
