    Default 2007 Polk db line!

Noticed the new db line at Crutchfield.

Has anything changed as far as SQ? The only differences I can pick out are some minor specs and the cosmetics.

Yes,it is mostly a facelift. The seperates' crossovers have been updated with attenuation switches. They still have the same great sound that the old ones did.

The 6.5" model (db651) replaces both the db650 and db675. Better midbass from the new one. We also added a 3.5" and a 4"x6" plate.

Do newer model cars still come with 4 x 6 plates? I've seen a few (not many, but a few) with 3.5's .... but I don't think I ran into any with plates. Seems like 5.25 round, 6.5/75 round, and 5x7 / 6x9 oval are the main ones these days. ... 4 x 10 / 6 x 8 / and 4 x 6 more or less seem to have fallen off the face of the earth.

I think Ford's do. When I was car shopping I was looking at the Fusion's but decided against them for the horrible speaker locations and they were either 5x7 or 4x6. Something odd like that.

If you bought a Fuzion, I'd never forgive you.

I had 5x7 Alpine Type-R coaxial in my 93 Mazda 626 and they sounded pretty good. Not bad bass response either.
