Default Passive Sub for the front

I have a passive sub I used to run with my old HT but figured I wouldn't need it to go with my new system. However, I feel that my bookshelf speakers (front left and right) could use a fuller sound in the mid-bass area, especially in 2 channel Analog listening. I was thinking of hooking it up with just the front right and left channels to get a fuller sound.

Is this not a good idea?

only one way to find out. I could work, and at the same time it might not. The proof is in the pudding. It doesn't sound totally ridiculous to me.

True...It is kind of a pain to install it...but for the first week I wasn't happy at all. But it seems the KEFs need a lot of time to break in...but they lack in the mid, to low bass area.

Will it have bad effects when I go to 5.1 mode???

It should not as long as you have no phasing issues between it and your sub.
