    Default Lsi15 and Lsic Problems

About 10 months ago bought an HK AVR435 receiver to drive the 2 Lsi15s and Lsic. The sales person said the HK would do a good job. Wrong!! First the HK is 8 ohm impedance and is only rated for 80 watts per channel. Anyway had very raspy treble when playing singers like Celine Dion. After days of reseach and thanks to this forum I just ordered three Outlaw 2200 mono blocks to fix the problem. Won't know until I get them hooked up if I have damaged the tweeters or not. Do bad I did not have the time for the research when I bought them.

First off, Welcome to the forum!

I'm sure your tweeters are fine, you'll be suprised at the sound once you get the Outlaw's connected.

    Good luck, and enjoy!

All is forgiven 'EJD' for your purchase of separate amplification puts you on the path of righteousness.

Welcome to the forum. Stick around, and don't try to sell anything for a while.

your gonna be pretty surprised what those Outlaw mono's will do. you will barely recognize the sound coming from the 15's

as good as the outlaw mono's are, if you beef up amplification even more down the road, the 15's will still have a little more to give you.

enjoy the mono's for a while though, I certainly did.

WOW!! Now I am really looking forward to hooking them up. Never had a warm fuzzy feeling about the speakers until reading the information on this forum. I am not very knowledgeable about all this audio equipment and all I asked the sales person was to give me some good quality speakers for listening to music and some movies without surround sound. So I guess he sold me some good equipment afterall.
