Good afternoon everyone,
I need a little help understanding a few things about how my DVD player affects the sound in my system.
My receiver is a Yamaha RX-V2500 and my DVD player is a Toshiba that I paid about $200 for a couple years ago. I have the DVD player connected to the receiver using a Coax connection. I am using the DVD player to also play my CD's.
I've no real complaints with the sound quality, but am I missing out by not having something better? Is the DVD player affecting the sound quality, or because it is hooked up with a digital out is the receiver doing all the sound processing? Will upgrading the DVD player help me in any way? Should I have a dedicated CD player?
My speakers are T90e (Monitor 60) fronts, Monitor 30 surrounds, and an RM202 center.
Thanks for the help,
