    Default Home theatre operating temps?

I am planning on system with Pioneer plasma tv, LSi speakers, Pioneer Elite & Outlaw amps. I would like to install it upstairs in my bungalow home but the temp goes up to 90 degrees during the day. In the evening temp is fine. The air conditioning does not make it upstairs! Is this going to be bad for the system or should i get window air unit and keep room cool all day? Can i get fans and run them all day on the equipment and skip the window unit? Nobody uses the upstairs until evenings when the room is cool but i'm concerned about damage during these summer months in Cleveland. Thanks in advance for your thoughts...

Are you going to run your equipment 24/7? IMHO, if you will be running it during just those cooler hours, you should be fine. Otherwise, get a window A/C.

90 degress shouldn't be a problem, unless we are talking 90 degrees Celcius, or even 90 Kelving :)

As long as there isn't any moisture to go with the heat, I wouldn't worry about it. It isn't like you are going to be running the equipment during the daytime anyway, since you probably won't want to be up there in the heat.

You shouldn't worry, but 90 degrees is a bit on the warm side. Most audio gear will work fine in 90 degree temperatures, but other HT items such as video projectors need a COOL room to work properly.
