    Default Show off your car

We have finally created an Installation Showcase where we show off our hot cars and you show off your hot car. The link is:
    http://www.polkaudio.com/car/library/installs/

Do you want to see your car pictured on this web site? Then send your photos (72dpi or better jpg or color prints-no slides or negatives), equipment list, and name of installer (if a store, send name of store and address) and any other information you think we should have to:
    Polk Audio
    5601 Metro Dr.
    Baltimore, MD 21215
ATTN: Justin Bright (our web lackey and WRX speed-fiend)

    or email: webmaster@polkaudio.com

Uhhh, by the way this is a Polk Audio web site so we will publish ONLY cars with Polk Audio gear. We reserve the right to decide which cars are published and which are not. And no, we will not send your photos back to you so you better send copies.

    Default M3

Yes it does. Low frequencies will always get though if given half a chance. The ski hole is plenty of area for the lows to get into the cab. That car sounds awesome.

Payday is Dec. 5, so like the 8th :)

EX3 6.5" components in the front, EX3 5.25" coax in the rear doors, Clarion 400.4 4 channel amp, and a JVC SH-99 headunit. I might go with a sub, I dunno. Depends on my stock options ;)

    Question

Is there any way I could lay my hands on the kickpanel enclosures just like in jessica's 96 civic? I know it's a long shot, but I'm just curious... are they for sale? If they are, how much?

    Default kick panel

Those enclosures were custom made but Q-Logic does make something similar for the Civic and a bunch of other popular cars.

They wouldn't do you much good if you had them, what's visible is the trim panel that holds an MM465 grill. The MM455 mid is actually mounted on another piece of MDF behind the vinyl wrapped piece. In Umair's Integra the kicks look similar but have much less time in them- the MM465 mounts to that panel, and much less metal was cut out than in the Civic. These cars are some of the easiest cars I've put kick panels in, so if you try to make some yourself it shouldn't be too difficult.
Your easiest option would be the Q- Forms, though.

Now that you got me thinking about it,

I got a 2000 ford lightning and already have all da momo stuff it can handle.

What is the suggested airspace for teh mm465's midbass?? Thinking about constructing a set of kickpanels for it now...

Any suggestions would be nice =)

PS you all need to trade your harley f150 off and get a 2003 when it comes out, since it will then be equipped with the lightning motor (but tuned down a tad)

An easy way to do that is to put a neon tube (or other lights- like LEDs) next to the plexi and the light catches all of the edges of whatever's cut out.

I see that you're in Owings Mills- Try a Tweeter. I know Matt at the Towson Tweeter could easily do something like that, but I have no idea how much they'd charge.

Lightbulb re - amps for momo12's

For the guy at circuit city ....

the power with the 81000d is not a problem... 1200 at 12.5 volts / 1500 at 14 volts is what the Momo subs need. I mean, be resonable, dont jack the gain all the way up and expect it to work out for you... throw it down at half and then crank up over a week or so... and yes, that amp with the gain at 65-70% will probably keep Momo's happy for years to come.

far as the fosgate... well.. i can tell kim's gettin old and senile (just kidding ) but fosgates are "legendary" for their distortion and for overheating. I once heard a guy say in regards to a quite pleasing female "she's as hot as a fosgate running at stable ohms" --- aol chat - auto car stereos prompts stupid comments, i know --- but fact is, the 81000d is thinner, cleaner, and backed by a better warranty than the fosgate stuff.

can you tell i'm an mtx junkie.
