    Default Bi-amping

Would there be any advantage to bi-amping a pair of RTi8 floors using just my HK 445? Gracias in advance

    Hi Brendan and welcome,

To be honest, I have recently gone from bi-amping my RTi10s through my Yammie 2700 just to bi-wiring them and didn't notice a huge difference between the two formats.

It's a whole new ball game though when you bi-wire as opposed to having a single pair of speaker leads going to the 2 of the 4 terminals (with the flat metal jumpers still intact) . When you bi-wire, it really brings the highs to life.

Anyway, check out this link from the Polk site about bi-wiring and bi-amping:

    Good luck.

A bit difference when I bi-amped RTi4 using Denon AVR. I assigned Back Surround channel to Bi-Amp. It would be better if you are using 2 separate amplifier to bi-amp I think. I found more cleaner sound comparing with center channel. Please check out as VXR8 mentioned.

it seems to me that bi-amping off of a rcvr is pretty useless. If you're gonna bi-amp w/ one coming off the rcvr and one off of a separate amp, I can understand, but if you bi-amp off of the same unit, you're robbing peter to pay paul.
