I recommend Going Sealed unless your enclosure is going to be amazingly sealed everywhere else.

By selecting a 12" sub, more often than not it wont hit as hard as a 10", When u have a sealed enclosure, u get less vibration, allowing for a harder/cleaner hit, i have heard only a handfull of 12"s with a ported slot that sounded good. (the DB enclosure set was one of them).

Sound quality and balance go with a sealed enclosure.
