rockford power 1000 25 to life

im thinking of buying one to power my girls system. i like the idea of having one amp because im lazy. the specs. look good, what do you guys think.

Im a pretty big fan of Rockford Fosgate. They had a stint a few years back when their gear was below their usual quality level but it was still very good.

Im not crazy about their speakers but their subs are very solid but their amps are where I think they excell most. Especially the new line and the new Power series.

As for 5 channels, Im also a big fan of those as well. It makes installation much easier and can deliver good power and easily run a modest system. I think its a good idea.

Kicker and Crossfire also make pretty stout 5 channels.

As I said, Rockford Fosgate knows how to make an amp and their Power series is just insane!!

i like the fact that the sub channel is bd class. also the real world numbers are great, 106 watts per channel @ 4 ohms and 922 watts for the sub channel @ 1 ohm. 68% is probably from the class a/b side pulling the numbers down. mac your right the new power series looks awsome. all that power in such a small footprint. they are coming back to where they used to be. i was a big fan of fosgate and still run punch 40, punch 60 and punch 200 amps in my girls car now along with a epx2 e.q./crossover. talk about oldschool. i just want to do some newschool gear for her, and i just love buying new toys to play with!

68% at 1 ohm though? That's pretty good for A/B.

Do any of their new line have TransNova? Not TransAna, but Nova... that's an amazing sounding amplifier.

well i got the amp today and the birthsheet has some great numbers! 110 watts x 4 into 4 ohms and 929 watts x 1 into 1 ohm. it does 695 watts x 1 into 2 ohms all with 69.912% efficiency. this amp is huge and a great looking amp. it also comes with a rockford fosgate snap-on ratcheting screwdriver, a nice touch.
