That's just a whole lot of volume at 30hz and higher.

I would recommend selling those and getting a real sub.

    Just my $0.02 worth.

Why sell them when I got BOTH for a price lower than one midrange-line SVS, Hsu, Velodyne, etc?

I'm well aware of the shortcomings of low frequency response of the PSW1000 series, but they look good, sound good (for what I expect out of them)

With these two stacked I am getting pretty darn good sound, and I am not expecting 15hz out of them so for what they are I am happy!

I've had one of them brand new, and the other one I recently purchased from another Polk forum member and it too is mint condition.

Like I said....It was just my $0.02 worth.

Regardless of what you payed for them you could easily sell them and get enough to buy a better sub. Don't get me wrong, I too have this sub, and besides the fact that it is virtually non-existent below 30hz, it is a pretty good sounding sub. Plus as you said, it is certainly nice looking.

My point was that you could most likely have a better sub with little or no money out of pocket. That's all.

    Later.
    Enjoy!

No biggie, I wasn't throwin' any 'tude! :)

If I was going to replace these with anything I would get that new BIG a$$ SVS PB/Ultra 13/2 or whatever is coming out.

That will most likely be $3000+

I've had the one PSW1000 for a while and just bought the other one recently, and I got such a great deal on both, it was pretty amazing.

I'd happily rock some PSW1000s. Maybe polk subs are the end-all, be-all, but I've owned a few and none have really disappointed at their price-points.

    Nice setup!

Just like adding more small drivers to a speaker design can get 6.5" drivers to dig as deep as a single larger driver, I have to believe that adding a 2nd sub like this digs your low end out a little bit. It's not like the subs stop *trying* under 28Hz...they're still moving air.....just not enough air!! Just my theoretical impression. Maybe you're getting 27Hz as your -3dB instead :D

My PSW1000 gives my all I want.....I listen to about 80% music, and it produces outstanding deep bass musical tones. And man, it looks good up front between the 9's.

    Thanks!

You are only seeing 30 percent of it!! LOL

I stacked the subs because it works good in this room.

After some research I found stacking can help the speakers work together and boosts low end response by up to 6Db.

cool. i might try that too. my only concern would be the top vibrates off into the floor or something. that would be my luck.

    holy crap are you serious??

The only way the top sub would fall off of the bottom one would be if a big earthquake hit L.A.

What kind of SPL's are you hitting?

    LOL!
