Another amplifier question

Hi all,
I need some advice on a new/use amplifier.
I just purchase a new set of 5.1 speakers:
Mains RTi6
Center CSi5
Surround FXi3
Sub Velodyne DLS-3750R
My Receiver is a pioneer VSX-812K

As you all know it is very difficult to test drive an amplifier.

What I am looking for is more clear open sound.
so far I have done enough research that I have reduce my list to the following brands and models:

Outlaw The Model 7200 $1850.00 - 7channel amp
Rotel RMB-1095 $1999 - 5 channel amp
B&K Reference 200.7 $2400 (not sure about the price) - 7 channel amp
Sunfire TGA 7200 (no clue on price) - 7 channel amp
Parasound 5250 $2500 - 5 channel amp


What I want to do is make my system more pleasant to listen, less bright and more clear, of -course a bit more loud.

Which combination amplifier/receiver will bring the next level of sound to my system.
I might change my receiver in the future to either pioneer elite or Denon.

All of those brands are good. Choose the one you like the most, recalibrate all your speakers & have fun.

Have you done any acoustical treatments/work in your theatre room? The reason I ask is that you will get more returns treating your room for sound instead of spending it on amps. You have highly efficient speakers and if you want to spend money to make them open up and sound clearer, start working on your room design. I'm not saying that it is foolish to get a new amp, but I believe that your money would be wisely spent on acoustics and you would get better value for your dollar. When it comes to amps, focus on a good pre/pro then look at the gain stage. Amplifiers as a general rule will all sound the same (I said as a general rule) the pre/pro will make a difference in how your system will sound. Good luck.

the brightness may be coming from the Pioneer recevier... they sometimes along with Onkyo can be bright to some people.

any of those amps will serve you well.

interconnects also have an affect on sound being bright or dull... so get good high quality interconnects from your yet unpurchased amp to your receiver.

200.7 B&K would be an awesome amp. Maybe even overkill for your system. I'd take that or the 200.5 in a heartbeat. . . even if used, over most the others you list.

A seperate amp will be "bit more loud", but it will not remove the brightness of your speakers. If they are too bright to you, I would return them, and choose something more to your tastes.

Returning the speaker set is not possible they are 37 days old :-), on the other hand I really like the sound but depending on the movie I have to set the volume from -30db to -18db.
I am like everyone else here in this forum... what is the next level, at least that how I read most people's commentaries and suguestions.

I am looking to add some interconects and speaker cables from signal cables, cat cables, or zebra cables... today I am leaning to signal cables.

I am also working on the room itself, as MGPK said, since this is not a self conatined room then I am reading how to compensate for the open areas and the windows on the side...

Don't get me wrong, politely or not the few people I have had over to watch moview and very impressed with the sound, but I keep on thinking I needs just a bit more clearity, definition and a bit more punch to it and I would be very happy.
