another question as I cant post in the flea market section.

how much would anyone pay for a pair of rti12 and a csi5 less than 3 years old?

someone is offering them to me for 1200 but I have to drive 4 hours to get them and I am trying to weigh the advantages of doing that or waiting till the new rtia line comes out and then looking for a better deal.. aperciate any help.

Not a bad deal, but then again, not much of an upgrade to what you allready have.Spend the coin on some lsi 9's and a sub. You'll be much happier with the SQ.

what I really want is a second stereo music setup. I was going to use the csi5 to replace the center in my HT rig and use the rti12's as the stereo setup. However i want a pure stereo setup without a sub as I want the speakers to be able to do all the work. and from what I was reading on the specs for Polk's speakers the rti12's can go pretty low.. any thoughts.

forget about the b&w's I think I want to maintain polk loyalty and stick with polk.

Not a great deal, it's about the same as a local B&W dealer was charging for a similar setup. Nice sounding setup though.

B&W's and Polk RTi's are two different sounding speakers. I'd try to demo each and see which one you like better.

1200 doesn't sound like a particularly good price on the 12's and CSi5, unless they're all new in box.

I would think $600 or so for the 12's and maybe $200 for the Csi5. Any more than that, and you can get some LSis. Honestly, even at $600, I would think the LSi9s would be better for a stereo setup, or an extra $100 or so to get some LSi15s used.

For $1200, I would think there are better options.
