    Default Cartridge Mounting help

    And so it begins.......

Got my TT and cartridge today, and want to start putting things together; I feel such a noob....

So here's the first question; cartridge comes with a couple of tiny screws and bolts, and two transparent rings that probably should be used as washers.

Once I find the way to handle these with my clumsy hands.....where do I place the washers...between the cartridge and headshell.....between bolts and headshell...or between nuts and cartridge????

Did I say these things are small?????

Place a washer over the outer hole of the headshell pass a bolt through it and the outer hole in the Dynavector, lightly tighten a nut to it. Keep the rear of the cartridge facing outward and then attach the wires making sure they are on correctly and snuggly.

BE CAREFUL OF THE STYLUS! IIRC the Dynavector doesn't come with a stylus guard.

I have very fat fingers and found it rather easy to hold the nut and cartridge between my thumb and index finger while threading and tightening the screws.

EDIT: BTW this is usually the time I break into a sweat!!! LOL!!!

I did just the same thing two nights ago..

    a light is essential
i used a needle nose pliers to insert the tiny wires into their slots.
the Audio-Technica i installed had the stylus guard... comes in handy. remove the stylus before installing cartridge.
    good luck

    Super Glue should work fine.

A pair of anti-static/anti-magnetic needle nose pliers would be a nice precaution if you are able to swing it.
