Kenny Bell has a nice streetable setup.
Of course it would waste your cold air intake you just paid for.
A 150 shot would be a blast. Just throwin' out some ideas here.

I wouldn't put ANYTHING by foose on any vehicle I own. The guy has no talent IMO.Originally Posted by Sherardp

Foose makes a nice wheel, but there are others. Something with a nice deep dish in the back, staggered up front, but yet still lite weight. Something like those in my examples below.

There is only ONE wheel that I would put on a '08 Mustang. But then again...I'm old school and had a version of these on my '69 back in the day...

Keep your chev's and ford's I want a Challenger
Woooohoooo! Congrats Lou! You go, man!
3.73's should definitely make it more fun off the line! What was in it stock? If 3.55, I don't guess the difference should be too dramatic.
Have you gotten a limited slip yet?
I'm stoked about, and haven't even seen it! :D

I so love Ford V8s. RWD too boot. I have beat the living crap out of many a small block ford, and they just don't die. New cars really don't turn me on, but the new mustangs have really got the I want it thing going. I won't get one. I can't anyway, but if I did at near 40 I would still be blowing donuts in parking lots, roasting through second, and chirping at least 3rd, and blowing it out sideways on a regular basis. Since the sixties these cars have withstood the punishment of many a young man with with a driving habit like they just want to break the car, and live full lives well past 150,000 miles just to be rebuilt, and do it for another 150k. I must admit I would also have too much fun kicking the crap outa these kids fart piped "bad a$$ tuners".
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks
Ben

3.31's are too tall dude, too tall.
The smaller teh gear number, the taller the gear. For example. a 2.64:1 gear ratio is going to be a highway cruiser runnin a big V8 at 1200 RPM at 75 MPH all day long. 3.73:1 is a shorter ratio and will gun the V8 up to about 2500-3,000 RPM at 75 depending on the size of the tire.
The car felt like it had no balls compared to now because the gear ratio was not optimized for off the line acceleration but rather highway comfort and fuel economy. Actually, it was more of a compromise between performance and economy. 3.73's will put the RPM's higher up and you're gonna notice a tank of gas don't last so long but stompin' the "Go" pedal is a freaking blast now! Get gigantic brakes and stompin on the "Whoa!" pedal can be just as fun!
Imagine 3.73's ina pickup truck with probably 100-150 more horses! Talk about hairy!
Oh and uhh...looks like the gearhead bug bit Lou pretty hard!;)
The gear head bug is a bitch. Tends to bite harder and is more costly to have then the audio bug. I can't wait to buy another car but it seems the kids keep soaking up the funds.
As far as wheels go, I like the 20" version of the Craiger ss's on the mustang and 20" torque thrust 2's. They seem to fit well with the retro look of the mustang.

dude, I ALWAYS reverse that terminology, its a kind of dyslexia I guess. you aint kidding about the 3.31's being a highway gear. there was some cool things about it, like if I was on the cell phone, I could hang out in a gear longer without upshifting. cruising in 2nd gear on some scenic roads in North Jersey was nice, but thats about it.
were on the same page on this. its definitly on the list. safe to say this gets done before I even think supercharger down the road.
Might consult you on a local joint to get this done.
yeah, thank christ my audio rigs are right where I want them, cause there staying that way for a while![]()

Now that you Jersey boys all have your mean rides going, you gotta get out and do some carshows this spring and summer. If it's not that bad a drive, i'll come up and do some photos.
Lou, join a Mustang Club, then talk them into doing a Mustang gathering at a local Hooters. You can be damn sure I'll show up, with camera gear, when it's hot chicks involved!
Get your ass down to Cecil County Dragway also...

I'm going to show up on Saturdays and some Sundays with my camera gear.

thanks brotha, next time there's a meet up here, I'll give you a holler.

Strong Bad,
Cecil is my favorite track in the area. You have to love a staging area so sticky if feels like it's going to rip your shoes off your feet.
"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
Admit it, you like Cecil 'cause it's down hill and you Chevy guys need all the help you can get!
Actually, Atco is my favorite track. It's in the middle of Wharton State Forest and it's like 23 feet above sea level. The weather is usually pretty good for running good times and since they laid down concrete to the 700 foot mark over the winter, it's gonna hook like mad! Oh and this also means that the right lane no longer has the bump just passed the 60' and the series of "whoop-tee-do's" about 400 feet out is gone too. The canyon in the left lane at the 300' mark is gone too. Owners did the upgrade because they run a few cars in the alcohol classes in IHRA and they can't practice at the track they own because it doesn't meet the IHRA standards and the car behaves much differently. Atco is gonna be a bad ass track this year! Can't wait to see what times people lay down!
I'm a fan of Atco too, I normally set my personal bests there. My biggest pet peeve is that they need to 12' fence around the track. I've heard stories and have even seen pics of deer that make it onto the track, scary ****!
I've also noticed it gets VERY windy there.

The Mustang just keeps getting better. A factory glass roof option will available soon.
Its a little pricey... $2K.... but, I think its ALMOST worth it.
