    Post Onkyo Remote question

Do I lose all my programming in my Onkyo 787 remote when I change my batteries? Or can I switch batteries really fast or something? Also, what remote batteries do you recommend for longevity?

    This is an interesting question.

In fact, I've never ever changed the batteries on my multifunction receiver remote. Ever. In over 3 years. How do they do that?

Now I'm scared to do it, because of this question.

I believe that if you do it quick (a small radio and pocket info thingy I have gives you 40 seconds to change the batteries before you lose your info).

    Let us know what happens!

    Wow,
I think I just set a new battery changing speed record.
And the programming is still there. I gotta stop using the backlight on the remote so much. I love this remote.

You're not talking about Darrins remote are you?

If you are, he's not looking for fresh batteries. He just wants it back!
