Rt 5000?

There is an ad in my local paper RT 5000 excellant cond $3000.00.Includes 5 speakers.Does anybody Know the value of these?Price seems a little high to me,i'd like to make an offer and I don't want to come off as a low-baller.

Pretty rare pieces, but not worth that kind of dough IMO. I would put them somewhere between $2k-2.5k.

The subs are killer for music, crazy fast response.

I have owned and still own pices of the RT5000 system. On Ebay, the CS1000P center speaker sells for $500-$600, the FX1000's sell for about $500.00 and the RT300P's usually sell for about $1,000. The hard part is finding them. If you are interested and they are in mint condition, offer $2k. You would be very hard pressed to find a better 5 channel set up for that price.

local CL has a "like-new" pair of Rosewood RT3000P for $950. I would target that $2-2.5K offer also.
