Ipod help

My poor dad loaded 80 cds on his PC. They went away with the laptop and Ipod. During their trip, the laptop crashed. He lost all his 80 albums on his PC. The questions is, how can he upload what is currently on his Ipod to his pc? He tried with Itunes, no luck!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can mount the iPod as a standard hard drive. You may have to set up your PC to view hidden files, but once you do, just copy the .mp3s from the "iPod drive" (they'll have funny names, but they'll be there). Then from iTunes just add the folder with the MP3s.
