Welcome back Ted I hope you are feeling better.:)

Maybe, & maybe not Ted. You all won't admit it, but I'm probably closer to the truth than you think.

    But quite "frankly my dear, I don't give a damn".:p :D

These cable debates are old. As I said before, I let my practicality & wallet make the decision for me!:)

Bottom line Frank has been good to our forum, he seems like a stand up guy and if you don't feel you need to spend a small fortune on cables Signal is my choice. I don't think this is nec. a debate as it is people in the know (including yourself) commenting on their experiences. Other threads have gotten ugly. Plus, the poster has gone a completely different route.

Thanks Cat and yes feeling much better now.

I let my ears decide, my wallet has no say............Blue Jeans are fine entry level cables, I still use them in my HT. What's to admit??? Frank Dai has supported our PolkFest's with many many (as in not a few) free demo sets of cables, he continues to support our Club. Good Business---You better believe it.

I let my ears decide for the speakers & the electronics. Beyond that, the wallet has the final say.

As I have said, both are well made American grown products & both will do just fine in any system, regardless of whether or not someone tosses in free demo sets to CP to help get a built in customer base.

Just as a lower priced cut of meat can be made better by correct, slow cooking, so can a speaker cable.
Here is a slow cooker for speaker cables http://www.musicdirect.com/product/73622
    Enjoy!

I'm connecting my first home theater system and I was wondering if someone could clarify on the Belden 5000UE is there a positive/negative with respect to the black and white wires? I'm happy with the quality of the wiring.

It doesn't matter as long as you keep it consistent.

Use black for black (-) and white for red (+). As long as you are consistent you are GTG.
