Yamaha M-800 amp question

There is a Yamaha M-800 amp for sale in my area. I am researching it on the web, but could not find any information on it. The information I could find is for the M-80 amp but not the M-800. Do you have any experience with Yamaha amps? Is it worth $200?

The owner gave me the wrong model number. It should be MX-800. Is $200 still good for the MX-800?

My best guess of value would be around $300. Your price sounds good if it's in working shape. The MX-800 is a fairly substatial amp, I think around 150-175 WPC into 8ohms. I know it has a hefty power supply.

newest blue book I have is 2002, but it's a decent reference says the retail used value was 335, wholesale mint was 196.

So I'd say your $200 is a good price, offer him $170 and see if he bites :D
