    Default Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Some1 smack me!

I'm toying with the idea of selling off my Cherry LSi9's (1'st gen) And replacing them with my new (Black ones).

I thought I would try and Build a 2ch rig but I think I would rather Sell those and my Sony 4ES Receiver to buy a dedicated Pre-Amp. There is nothing wrong with ether items but what do you guys think? Should I or Should I not?

Also If there is any1 interested in ether of those items send me a PM.

The 9's are the one that I thought that was nuked but come to find out there was a resistor that came un-soldered from the board. I re-soldered it and that speaker works fine now..
I also have a pair of Cherry 24" Sanus NF stands I would sell with or with out the speakers.

Now before you guys say that I should have put this in the For-Sale forum. At this point I'm asking for help on my decision and to let you guys know that I'm thinking about selling them at this point.

I would not change to the same speaker just because of color. Waste of money to me. If you were going to go to LSi15's then yes do it.

No, I already have them. I got a heck of a deal on them this passed summer so I have a spare pair that I was going to use in a 2ch rig but I just don't see that going to happen.

Your bedroom or computer room would make a great 2 channel setup. I have 3 kids so my bedroom is my 2 channel room.

I have them upstairs now but I just don't think I can swing 2-25 hundred on more gear right now to build that system. thats why I said I could sell the cherry 9's and bring my new black's to my HT rig and sell my Sony es receiver and stands and add about 7-9 hundred with that cash and get a new Preamp for my HT rig. Plus I'm pretty happy listing to music on it. so Its really a waist for me..

Well, if you don't think you'll build a 2 channel rig, you probably won't; get a new processor with all the bells and whistles.

Sell em - they aren't that rare if you decide you want another pair in the future for a 2 channel system. Not doing you any good at all sitting in a box in the basement - put the money twords a something audio related that you will end up using and appreciating.

    Michael

BTW - I had the same thoughts of keeping my LSi7 front speakers when I replaced them with my LSi15's (was going to use them as rear speakers "someday") ended up selling them here on club polk and purchasing my preamp. Now not only do I use my preamp daily, but the speakers are used as well (by MSALLA) so eveyone is happy.

Yup sell them & get a prepro. Holding onto them just because you MIGHT want a 2 chnl system someday doesn't make sense. Right now they are not being used, you don't have a prepro & want one & and you can't afford to get one without more cash.

This isn't rocket science, it's a no brainer. Get the prepro & enjoy. There is no rule or law that says you HAVE to have 2 systems. Put together the best system that you can that will do BOTH well.

We'll this poll is up in 15 days. Once it is over I will decided then but it looks like they will be finding a new home.. Plus All my other equipment is black and the Cherry 9's (now that I look at them next to my other equipment) looks funny. Guys thanks for all the help. But now I need to decide on the Preamp. I'm leaning towards the integra 9.8. Or to hold off for the new outlaw.

Well while you are waiting, make sure that you are putting some money away & maybe by that time you can get a matching Sunfire prepro to match your amp.

Just keep stalking Audiogon. That's how I got mine at a good price.
